CM Siddaramaiah Confident of Victory, Calls MUDA Case a ‘Political Conspiracy’

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has issued a formal response following the High Court’s order regarding the MUDA case. In a press statement, he expressed his views on the court’s decision and outlined his future course of action, while sharply criticizing the role of political opponents in this case.

“I have learned about the High Court’s order through the media and will respond appropriately after reviewing the official copy,” he stated. The Chief Minister emphasized that the court has entirely dismissed the prosecution sanction issued by the Governor under Section 218(BNSS) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

However, he acknowledged that the judges limited themselves to the Governor’s order concerning Section 17A. The Chief Minister indicated that he is open to any investigation and will consult legal experts to decide on the next steps. “I am not afraid of any investigation,” he affirmed.

In his statement, he claimed that the charges brought against him are politically motivated. “This is not just a legal battle but a fight against the vendetta politics of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said. He accused both the BJP and JDS of engaging in political revenge against him because of his government’s pro-poor initiatives and social justice agenda.

“The people of Karnataka stand with me in this political struggle, and their blessings are my protection,” he said, reiterating his confidence in the judiciary and expressing optimism that the investigation under Section 17A will also be nullified soon. The Chief Minister criticized the BJP and JDS, alleging that their real aim was to halt government schemes benefiting the poor and marginalized communities.

He urged the public to carefully examine those behind the MUDA case, calling it a fabricated political conspiracy. “The same leaders demanding my resignation are the ones who opposed welfare schemes like Anna Bhagya, Vidyasiri, and Indira Canteen,” he pointed out.

Referring to the BJP’s alleged misuse of power, the Chief Minister said, “Karnataka’s people have never given BJP a majority. They have always come to power through unethical means like Operation Kamala, using money power.” He accused the BJP, under Narendra Modi’s leadership, of misusing the Raj Bhavan to destabilize opposition-led governments.

Despite the challenges, the Chief Minister vowed to continue his legal and political battle, with the support of his party and the people. “With the blessings of the people, I am confident that I will win this fight,” he concluded.
